Osteopathy is a structurally-based healing modality meant to re-align your body and remove restrictions that impede your body's self-healing and self-regulation systems. Treating the body structurally can be used to address chronic and acute pain, postural dysfunction, injuries and traumas, digestive issues, menstrual issues, poor sleep, headaches, etc; any kind of physical ailment can be improved when the body is realigned.
Massage Therapy is a modality of relaxation for your body and mind. Using Swedish techniques, the goal is to melt away muscle tension, to relieve aches and pains, and decrease stress of all kinds, and help you feel grounded and present in your body.
A treatment plan will be created for you that is tailored to your needs.

Carl was drawn to the study of Osteopathy in his desire to search for the root cause of pain and dysfunction and provide better more effective treatments for his patients. He completed his four years of osteopathic manual practice at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy. The goal in osteopathy is to treat the structure of the body. Using gentle osteopathic manipulative techniques, Carl encourages your body to structurally realign, so it can express the best, healthiest version of itself. When the bones, muscles, and ligaments are properly aligned, there is nothing preventing the natural flow of nerve, artery, vein, and lymphatics, the four rivers of life, from functioning properly, delivering health and nutrients where they need to go and draining cellular waste so toxins don't build up. The science and art of Osteopathy is in the relationship between structure and function. Carl uses Osteopathy to help his patients heal from any kind of body-related conditions, but it is your body that is self-healing and self-regulating; osteopathy just encourages what is natural to your body.
It's important to Carl that people feel at home in their bodies. In his massage therapy practice, he uses classical Swedish massage like a meditation to get us out of our heads and into our own "embodied" selves, promoting balance between our mental, emotional, and physical aspects. Carl like to emphasize flow, rhythm, and breath is his massage style, encouraging free range of motion in your joints, using techniques like myofascial release and trigger point therapy.
Carl believes in education to help clients feel empowered and supported, and better able to manage and understand their own symptoms on their healing journey. Carl is committed to his goal of creating a safe space for all body types, all genders and orientations, and all human beings in all stages of their lives.
Carl is a member of the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario (RMTAO) and the Ontario Osteopathic Association (OOA).
